During their high school careers, students are required to take at least 3 years of laboratory science. They may choose from a variety of courses, each designed with the Iowa Core Standards in mind. Each course engages students in their content through a variety of inquiry labs, projects and discussions that are student driven. Students are encouraged to take one course each in the fields of biology, chemistry and physics to fulfill the entrance requirements for state universities. AP courses in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Environmental Science are offered in addition to the traditional courses.
